My Mission

Hi, I am R. Nana Knows aka Colleen Kelley.

I am blessed to be a proud Nana to four energetic and curious boys, I have a front-row seat to the wonder, imagination, and endless questions that fill a child's world. Storytime quickly became one of our most treasured traditions. Yet as I searched for books to share with my grandsons, I often found myself longing for stories that were not only engaging and fun, but also firmly rooted in strong Christian values. I wanted wholesome tales that would nurture their hearts, strengthen their faith, and gently guide them toward biblical truth in a way they could understand and enjoy.

That desire planted a seed in my heart. I felt called to create the kinds of stories I had been searching for—stories filled with warmth, adventure, and meaningful life lessons grounded in Scripture. Inspired by my four boys and their love for animals, I began writing children's books featuring lovable dogs who share their own adventures and experiences. Through these charming characters, young readers discover lessons about kindness, honesty, forgiveness, courage, gratitude, and trusting God in every situation.

Each story is carefully crafted with a biblical foundation, weaving faith naturally into everyday moments in ways that feel relatable and heartfelt. My hope is that children will see reflections of themselves in these furry friends and learn that God's love is constant, personal, and powerful.

Above all, I write to help families create meaningful storytime moments—moments that spark conversations, build faith, and remind children that they are deeply loved by God.
